Will Smith is an American rapper and actor who was born on September 25 of 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bright son of Caroline and Williard Smith Sr., owners of a refrigeration company. He has three brothers: Pamela and twin brothers Harry and Ellen, who are three years younger than him.
In the late 80s, Smith achieved modest fame as a rapper under the name The Fresh Prince. In 1990, when he was a young rapper with some success, the American NBC television network signed him to star in the series The Fresh Prince of Bel Air for 6 years and has been retransmitted permanently in different chains and different countries. In the mid-90s, Smith transitioned from television to movies, and starred in numerous films that achieved a blockbuster.
In 1993 he participated in the filming of Six Degrees of Separation and Made in America and from then on his work took place in major motion pictures like Bad Boys or Independence Day, his true consecration as an actor on the big screen. He has also worked in films like I Am Legend, The Pursuit of Happyness, Wild Wild West, Hancock, Enemy, Shark Tale, Hitch and Seven Pounds. He was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor for Ali, released in 2001 for his portrayal of boxer Muhammad Ali. He also rolled films remained blockbusters Independence Day, Men in Black series and After Earth.
