John Christopher, who is better known as Johnny Depp, is a very successful and famous actor, musician and producer. He was born on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky and lived in more than 20 different places with his siblings Debbie, Christi and Daniel until they finally settled down in Miramar, Florida. At age 15, Depp dropped out of high school just to follow his dream of becoming a famous musician, encouraged by the school principal (surprisingly!), so he began playing with different local bands like The Kids, which changed its name later to Six Gun Method and split up even before signing their first record deal.
But that did not mean the end for Johnny, who made a collaboration with the famous band Rock City Angels and co-wrote their successful song Mary. Before you know it, he’d go on to be one of the most famous actors in Hollywood for crazy roles. As of 2016, Johnny Depp’s net worth is $450 million.
In 1984 Depp got his very first role in the famous horror movie A Nightmare On Elm Street, but what made his star really shine was the role he took on the TV series 21 Jump Street in the late 1980s, in addition to numerous roles that he took in some of his most famous films ever, like Edward Scissorhands, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, the entire Pirates of the Caribbean series, and Sweeney Todd, which qualified him to win a Golden Globe Award for best actor, without forgetting his amazing leading role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005.
Depp, who is now 53, has had many relationships in his life. He married once in 1983 to Lori Anne Allison, but their marriage did not last more than two years, then was engaged to the actress Sheridan Fenn, but the engagement did not last long either. Fortunately, he managed a long term relationship with French singer Vanessa Paradis for 24 years, before he married again in 2015 with actress Amber Heard, although they have had problems with alleged domestic violence, which apparently will end in divorce.
