Beginnings.
Hilary Ann Swank was discovered as a child by a producer who took care of her children’s career. From then on, she appeared regularly in theater plays in her city, and her school. She was also a great athlete who competed in the Junior Olympics in swimming and reached fifth place as the best junior athlete in the state of Nebraska. At the age of 16, and after her parents divorced, she moved with her mother to Los Angeles (California), where he entered the University of Los Angeles, where she studied drama, and began acting in theater professionally.
