Conor Anthony McGregor is a famous fighter of mixed martial arts of Irish origin who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the category featherweight, welterweight and lightweight. Mcgregor is the defending champion at the featherweight division and was also champion in the competition CWFC in the Featherweight category and the first and only Irish fighter to obtain two titles in different divisions. In 23 fights, he has obtained 20 wins and 3 losses.
Born on July 14 of 1988 in Dublin, Ireland. In its early years, Conor was passionate for playing football and get to play with Lourdes Celtic Football Club. After moving to Lucan, he begin to learn plumbing work, during his stay in Lucan. He also meets Tom Egan a known UFC fighter who decides to start training Conor McGregor.
At 18 years of age he is already an amateur mixed martial arts fighter, and have one of his greatest achievement, his debut in a fight against Kieran Campbell, where he emerged victorious by TKO. After this fight, Conor McGregor becames a professional.
In 2008 in his third fight, he made a debut defeating his opponent Artemij Sitenkov by submission. Between 2011 and 2012 he held a run of 8 wins, triumphing in CWFC and other featherweight championships.
UFC filled him with requests to join that division and after having a meeting with Dana White UFC president and the CEO Lorenzo Fertitia, he signed a contract in February 2013.
Debuting in his first bout against Marcus Brimage at UFC on April 6, 2013, the battle was notable for many fans of the UFC after four major clashes. In 2015 won the featherweight championship after beating José Aldo, ending his streak of 18 wins.
In 2016 McGregor makes his welterweight debut against Nate Diaz, despite leaving defeated, both fighters received the prize of the fight of the night. Conor McGregor would have his revenge against Diaz, this time he got the victory by split decision.
