Don Cheadle is an American actor and producer, who currently has a net worth of $35 million. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 24th, 1964. He has won many recognitions and awards throughout his career as an actor, including a Golden Globe award, and two nominees for the Academy Award.

Early childhood.

His full name is Donald Frank Cheadle de la Bombaza. His father was a child psychologist and his mother was a teacher. He is Cindy Cheadle and Colin Cheadle’s brother. He moved on numerous occasions during his childhood.

Career.

He studied at the California Institute of Arts, and he graduated from East High School in Denver, Colorado. He writes and composes music in addition to playing the saxophone. The first Don Cheadle’s roles were in the television series Fame (1986), THE. Law (1986), Night Court (1988) and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990).

Over the years, he continued briefly in new television series such as The Golden Palace (1992) and Hangin’ Mr. Cooper (1992) and with a fixed character for 38 episodes in Picket Fences (1993-1995). In 1995, he played Mouse Alexander in the film Devil in a Blue Dress, starring Denzel Washington. It supposed to him to be candidate to the Union of Actors Award as Best Supporting Actor.

Consolidation as an actor.

In the following years he was involved in productions such as Volcano (1997) in which a volcano erupted in the city of Los Angeles, where he shared credits with Tommy Lee Jones. Also in 1997, he played Buck Swope in Boogie Nights, which portrayed the rise of porn movies in the 70’s. He was a candidate again to the SAG, in the best supporting actor category.

He worked under Steven Soderbergh in Out of Sight (1998), starring George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez. He won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor – series, miniseries or telefilm and was an Emmy nominee in the category of best supporting actor in miniseries or telefilm for his work in the telefilm The Sinatra Clan (1998), directed by Rob Cohen, Giving life to Sammy Davis, Jr.

In 2000, he premiered three productions: the drama film, the Family Man, with Nicolas Cage, the science fiction film Mission to Mars with Tim Robbins, and a new work with Steven Soderbergh entitled Traffic, in which he gave life to Montel Gordon. He won the Actors Guild Award for best supporting actor.

Other films and Hotel Rwanda.

Swordfish (2001) would then arrive where he was part of a cast that included John Travolta, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry. He made an uncredited cameo in Ocean’s Eleven (2001) and starred in The United States of Leland (2003), which also featured Ryan Gosling and Kevin Spacey.

In 2004, Cheadle received his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his portrayal of Paul Rusesabagina at Hotel Rwanda (2004). He was also a candidate for the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama and the Actors Guild Award for Best Actor for his performance.

Personal life.

He currently lives with Bridgid Coulter, with whom he has two children, born in 1995 and 1997
