Matthew David McConaughey was born in Uvalde, Texas on November 4, 1969. This 47-year-old actor is one of the most in demand performers in Hollywood. With a net worth of $75 million, he is the son a retired elementary school teacher and a former professional football player as well as a gas-station owner.
After finishing high school and before going to college, Matthew lived for a while in Australia. When he came back to United States, he studied cinema at University of Texas in Austin. During that time, he shot a short film called, “Chicano Chariots” (1992). Years later, he made another short film called “The Rebel” (1998).

He won the Oscar as best actor, as well as a Golden Globe award as best actor in a drama for “Dallas Buyers Club” (2013), a film in which he played a cowboy with AIDS. A year later, he was directed by Christopher Nolan in the science-fiction “Interstellar” (2014).
