Early years.
He was born prematurely. Almost a month and a half what he was expected from his parents, which cause that the retinas of his eyes did not develop correctly. As a result, he was born blind.
Stevie Wonder’s parents were Calvin Judkins and Lula Mae Hardaway, who had five more children. They separated, and his mother moved to Detroit where she recover her maiden last name. Morris.

In 1973, he suffered a car accident, which made him remain in coma for a while. Apart from that, he lost the smell sense. Sooner after the accident, he continued with his professional career as a singer. He released several singles, and he could get 14 Grammy Awards.
The 80s.
During the 80s, Stevie Wonder’s singles came back to become vindicated. Something that it can be seen in his single “Master Blaster” in which he asked expressly that Martin Luther King’s date of birth should be a national holiday. During that decade, he featured with other musicians such Michael Jackson, or Paul McCartney. At the end of that decade, he was exalted to Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
The 90s.
During the 90s, Steve focused in charity work. He made the decision to retire from making shows, and going on tours. In the mid-90s he received an honorific Grammy for his “musical career”. His music was chosen once again for another film. This time, a Disney film called “Mulan” where he sang along with Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
The 21st century.
During the decade of 2000, the singer enters a depressive era, due to some of his friends, relatives and companions’ deaths.At the end of the first decade of the new millennium, the RIAA announced the Stevie Wonder has sold a total number of his album “Songs in the Key of Life”. The Rolling Stone Magazine consider him as one of the top-ten best artist of all time.
