Prince Rogers Nelson. It was a multifaceted and controversial composer, instrumentalist and singer of American nationality and the instrument that he liked the most was the guitar. He played in several musical genres rock, soul, pop, R & B, dance, funk, blues to jazz played. One of the most important artists of the 80’s. He died on April 21 after being discovered his body at his residence.


Born on June 7 of 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His father was a jazz musician and his mother was the vocalist for the group where his father played. Prince at the age of 7 year old learned to play piano by himself, listening to television series like Batman. At 13, his father gave him an electric guitar which he also learned to play by himself, later he met André Cymone, who also had musical talent and with whom stable a great friendship and also in the future becomes bassist in the band of Prince. André creates Grand Central, a young band that Prince was included, played in schools, parties, hotels and elsewhere.

At 17, he met Pepe Willie, a musician who introduced the young Prince in the world of professional music with his band, and then he knows Chris Moon, who owned a small recording studio who entrusted it to the band to record their own themes. Owen Husney, a promoter of music considered that his group’s songs were good, who also recommended him to several music companies until opted for Warner Bros.

In 1978 he recorded his first music album called “For You” in which Prince plays all the instruments and all were written and produced by him. Since the release of this album which was his first album, he started winning fans. After 4 albums, Prince thinks making a film titled with the name of the album Purple Rain, which representative an excellent idea, and then began shooting Purple Rain, which was the pass for stardom and many awards for Prince.


In his later years, Prince participated in the Super Bowl in 2007 where he did one of the greatest performances in history, giving better expectations than expected. Also entered in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The cause of death was known almost two months later, it was discovered that what killed the artist was an overdose of opioid analgesics.
