Lenny was born on May 26th, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. His father was a NBC producer whose name was Sy Kravitz, and his mother was the actress Roxie Roker. He soon noticed his abilities on music. When he was 10 years old, he already made Duke Ellington, Sarah Vaughan, and James Brown’s covers.
Moving to L.A
In 1974, his family moved to L.A because his mother’s job in a very popular T.V series. Lenny Kravitz joined the Boys Choir, where he learned to play several instruments. His talent made him to participate in a musical show “Beverly Hills High School”. During his days as a teenager, he studied in the prestigious Beverly Hills High School. He had the chance to studied with other classmates such as Nicholas Cage, or Angelina Jolie.

Musical Career.
In 1987 he got married with the actress Lisa Bonet whose union conceived a daughter called Zoe. This relationship ended up four years later, the custody of Zoe was to Lenny. Months later, he started a relationship with a French lady Vanessa Paradis. The couple broke up in August 1997.
During that time, Lenny Kravitz decided to abandon his Prince’s look and he searched for inspiration on rock bands from the 60s and 80s such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield, and Kiss.
He then signed a contract with Virgin Records and released his first album Let Love Rule reaching a number one on the charts and beginning a nourishing career that continues until present.

In 1991, his biggest musical hits until the present was It Ain’t Over ‘till It’s Over. This song reached number 2 on Billboard Hot 100. In 1993 his song Are You Gonna Go My Way was released. In 2001, this song was included as the main song in Grand Tour 3 NTSC format.
In 2003, Metallica made a tribute to some famous music artist, among them Lenny Kravitz with his song Are You Gonna Go My Way.
2006-present.
In 2008 he released the album It’s Time for a Love Revolution which made him get several Golden Discs in different countries such as, Spain, United States and the UK. His most famous hit from that album was I’ll Be Waiting. Even though he has kept with the same Record Company for years (Virgin), he has been tempted to other companies. that year the launching Guitar Hero World Tour appeared his song Are You Gonna Go My Way.
