Born June 17 of 1976 Scott Adkins AKA “Yuri Boyka” is an English actor and martial artist known mostly for his role as the Russian convicted Yuri Boyka on the Undisputed films 2 and 3, and also for having a role in X -Men Origins, to play the role of Deadpool that could not be played by Ryan Reynolds in that time.
In his early years, Adkins was raised by his parents who belonged to a social middle-class status, he wasn’t a very good student in school, but he was good for sports with outstanding skills, considered a great natural athlete.
Scott Adkins was a big fan of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li, a huge admirer of these martial artists and motivated to be a great athlete, he started studying martial arts, which caused him to abandon his studies to be in full-time practicing those disciplines.
His first martial art was judo, and implemented in the school causing him incidents and troubles. He considered that judo was not enough for him; he decided to learn Tae Kwon Do. Being almost obsessed by the Tae Kwon Do, decided to convert his garage into a Dojang (a workouts room in Korean), decided to combined the Tae Kwon Do with American Kick Boxing, under the direction of Anthony Jones, currently, Adkins’s instructor of Kick Boxing.
Train Wushu (Olympic Kung Fu) and then Jiu Jitsu, which for him was not very difficult to adapt, all his work has led him to have black belts in all disciplines he has practiced, 2th Dan in judo, 4th Dan in Tae Kwon do, 3th Dan in Wushu, 1th Dan in Jiu Jitsu, and complements all with weight training and gymnastics, which allows him to make high-risk stunts in action films.
