An American actress, who has an estimated net worth of $150 million. Demetria Gene Guynes was born in Roswell, New Mexico, on November 11th,1962. Moore took her professional name from her first husband, musician Freddy Moore, and is the mother of three daughters from her second marriage to Bruce Willis. She married her third husband, actor Ashton Kutcher, in 2005, and divorced him in 2011.

Early Years.

Moore’s father Charles Harmon left her mother, Victoria, before she was born. For this reason, Demi Moore did not share her last name on her birth certificate. Her stepfather, Daniel Danny Guynes did not add much stability to her life. He often changed jobs and made the family moved 40 times.

To make matters worse, operations on her left eye during her childhood forced her to wear a patch, and be operated. Although Demi Moore was born in New Mexico, she spent much of her childhood and adolescence in suburban Pittsburgh.

Beginnings of her career.

Her then friend, Nastassja Kinski, persuaded Moore to leave Fairfax Preparatory College in Hollywood at age 16 to become an actress. After leaving school, Moore worked as a photographic model and from this time dated, some controversial images of her where, under the pseudonym of Vivianne Pollentier, where she appeared naked and in poses that scratch the pornographic, which were published by famous men’s magazines like OUI, Playboy and Penthouse when the young girl acquired popularity like one of the most promising actresses of the 1980s.

Her big break came when she played the role of Jackie Templeton in the ABC network drama, which she played from 1982 to 1983. Since she had gotten her first salaries from General Hospital, Moore began to party and consuming cocaine.

Moore’s drug addiction lasted more than three years, until film director Joel Schumacher kicked her out of St. Elmo’s Fire when she hit the set intoxicated. Coincidentally, Moore’s character in the movie, Jules, was also addicted to cocaine. She had to sign a contract stipulating that she would stop drugs and alcohol, an agreement that turned her life.

Filming career.

Demi Moore appeared naked on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine in August 1991 having a- seven-month pregnancy of her daughter Scout LaRue, to this it accompanied an enormous publicity to her. The image was very parodied. Moore reappeared on the cover of the same magazine in August 1992 “wearing” a costume painted on her body.

For a time during the 1990s, Moore was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood; she was the first actress to reach 10 million dollars per film. Moore had a streak of hits like Ghost, Some Good Men and An Indecent Proposal. Her career was affected when films such as The Scarlet Letter, Jury Compulsion, Striptease and Lieutenant O’Neill (a film in which Moore shaved her head) failed commercially, and mostly had bad reviews.
