Ben Stiller is an American actor, a comedian, also a writer, producer and film director. He has a net worth of $ 150 million. He was born on November 30th, 1965 in New York (United States). Ben Stiller is the son of American comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. His sister Amy is also dedicated to acting. His family has Jewish beliefs. His family was never very religious and celebrated both Hanukkah and Christmas; Stiller had a Bar Mitzvah.

Early years.

From an early age, he became interested in movies and made Super 8 movies with his sister and friends. At the age of nine, he debuted in the acting as guest in television in is mother’s tv series, Kate McShane, and at the end of the 70s, he was part of NYC’s First All Children’s Theater, playing several roles, including the lead role of Clever Jack and the Magic Beanstalk.

University and SNL.

He studied film at UCLA. He appeared in several television series and on Broadway. He was the author of several short films, including one that parodied sensational news about Elvis Presley. He participated in Saturday Night Live and had his own television show, The Ben Stiller Show.

His filming career.

His first appearance on the big screen was in Empire of the Sun. his launch to the international fame was thanks to the direction of “Reality Bites” and by his performance in the blockbuster film, There’s something about Mary. He became one of Hollywood’s best-paid comedians thanks to such films as Along Came Polly, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, or Night at the Museum.

He also directed Zoolander, based on a script of his own, and in which he also performed as protagonist interpreting Derek Zoolander, a frivolous and selfish model of clothes, was co-starred Owen Wilson, with whom he returned to work on Tenenbaums (2001) and Starsky & Hutch (2004).

Madagascar and other films.

In 2005, he had his first experience with computer animated films with Madagascar, which proved to be a blockbuster. In 2006, he had supporting roles in “School for Scoundrels” and Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, in which he also participated as an executive producer. In 2010 he participated in the hit Little Fockers sequel. In 2011, Stiller co-starred alongside Eddie Murphy and Alan Alda in “Tower Heist.” Stiller produced, directed and starred in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, released in 2013.

Personal life.

He married in May 2000 at a waterfront ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii, with actress Christine Taylor, and they became parents of two children, Ella Olivia, born on April 1st, 2002, and Quilin Dempsey, born on July 10th, 2005.

He confessed in a radio show that he was diagnosed two years ago with prostate cancer, which is why he had to had a surgery as a part of the treatment. He was declared free of cancer in 2016.
